Great energy that only an audience tape can capture.
For 1979 and the beginning of the Brent era this is actually an excel show and Jerry is still sounding very good

An old friend who is presently living in S.Africa reminded me about our 30-year anniversary of this show. "Epic" is the most appropriate and accurate description for our participation in this show, and the show itself. Thanks to all you tapers and archivists out there for providing reinforcement for the magical memories of the rest of us. It is a tremendous gift you have provided, and I wanted you all to know that you and your work are very appreciated. This show changed me and my life, almost entirely for the better. Peace.

Oh, and I nearly spit coffee on my monitor when I read the previous review, "I'd offer the wife, but he doesn't deserve all the bitching that comes with that." Good stuff...

You got it! Anytime he wants Charlie Miller can drink my beer, stay at my house, and borrow my car; I'd offer the wife, but he doesn't deserve all the bitching that comes with that.
And thank you Steve for the outstanding taping job. Man, I felt like I was there, and what a show!
And I don't mean what a show, like a pretty good show: I mean this is one of their best freaking shows ever. I listen to 90% 1974 and earlier and I am just totally blown away by this show.
Who put Benzedrine in the band's ovaltine???? (yeah, right . . . )
What a freaking show!!!!!!!!

I was really interested to hear how China > Rider sounded. For me, the jam between is the bell-weather, and I suspect for the band as well becuase they didn't roll it out for a while after Brent joined. The audience reaction here is pretty enthusiastic, but I don't think it is a unified thought just yet.
